A Passion for Helping People See Better
Dr. Riley Stahl is a hard-working primary care optometrist who values establishing great relationships with her patients. Growing up, Dr. Stahl always knew her passion was in the field of medicine. It wasn’t until working closely with the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome, and seeing the impact that a patient and passionate doctor can have on the special needs community, that she realized optometry was the perfect fit for her. Dr. Stahl’s focus is individualized and personal care for each and every patient she sees. She treats patients, young and old, with equal care and empathy.
Dr. Stahl grew up in West Virginia and attended West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. She went on to graduate from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, AZ. Within her curriculum, Dr. Stahl was able to work with several specialties including vision therapy, specialty contact lenses, and low vision care. Dr. Stahl also held several different roles within student government and other optometric clubs. Over the span of a year of schooling, Dr. Stahl collected data and information regarding the latest dry eye treatments to compare and find the most effective option for patients. This research went on to win a University-wide presentation award. Armed with this knowledge, Dr. Stahl is confident and comfortable treating dry eye disease along with all other facets of optometric care.
Upon graduating, Dr. Stahl spent nearly a year practicing full-scope optometry in South Carolina where she also provided low vision evaluations for those with permanent sight impairment.
In her free time, Dr. Stahl loves to be outdoors with her pup, traveling with friends and family, or cheering on the Mountaineers!
